Huawei releases wireless earplugs that you can charge with the Mate 20
On 16 October, Huawei not only presents the Mate 20 series, but also a successor to the FreeBuds introduced last year. You can charge these earplugs wirelessly with your Mate 20 and recognize your voice.

That says telecom insider Roland Quandt . The German journalist has published press images of three new Huawei products: the Mate 20 itself, the FreeBuds 2 Pro and a charging mat.
Especially the wireless earplugs are interesting, because you can recharge them with your Huawei Mate 20. When they are empty you put them on your phone for a moment, after which you can enjoy music again.
To charge the earplugs by means of your telephone, you must place them in the specially designed protective box. Of course you can also supply power via a USB cable. Wireless charging takes about three hours according to Quandt, while the earplugs are completely full after two hours if you charge via a cable.
High-quality, wireless earplugs recognize your voice
Furthermore, the FreeBuds 2 Pro use a high-quality audio protocol called hwa. This allows you to play audio with a quality of 560 kbps. This is a much higher sound quality than many other headsets can play. The disadvantage of this high-quality audio is that the battery of the wireless earplugs lasts only three hours, compared to twenty hours of listening pleasure at 'normal' quality.
Huawei also dedicates itself to artificial intelligence (AI) and that is why there is a special sensor in the FreeBuds 2 Pro that recognizes your voice. This allows you to use the earplugs, among other things, to ask and contact the Google Assistant . However, take a turn for the arm: we are not sure if the earplugs also 'speak' Dutch.
