Sony retire Xperia X and X Compact, this reason

Sony reportedly decided to stop selling one of its product line smartphone, the Sony Xperia X and X Compact. This decision was taken because the two smartphone Sony released last year the sales figures incised unsatisfactory.

Japanese electronics manufacturer has also confirmed his decision via the Investor Day. As quoted from Gadget360, Sony put this smartphone at a premium, yet offer affordable prices. Apparently, that strategy was not quite able to tempt the market.

In Japan, this samrtphone enough positive acclaim and won 85 percent of his sales targets. But in other countries, sales were not exactly encouraging. In the global market, the smartphone is only able to pick up 31 percent of the sales target.

With this disappointing figure, naturally if Sony decided to discontinue product lines Xperia X and Xperia X Compact. It is also not the first time did Sony. In the past year, Sony also discontinue a product line series C and M to focus on the Xperia series X.

Since then, Sony also passionate and have a sense of optimism for the smartphone market, including other leading smartphones, like the Sony Xperia XZ Premium and devices are also marketed at affordable prices, Xperia XA1.

Still related to the decisions made, now Sony will focus on flagship devices mid-range and high-end, such as XZ Premium, XZs Xperia, Xperia XA1 and XA1 Xperia Ultra.
